Enhancements to CAPI Functionality

Confirmit 12.5 incorporates a wide range of developments to the CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing) function, designed to:

Enable better management of larger field forces through mass loading capabilities.

Provide better reporting on interviewer productivity.

Simplify the ability to integrate with sample management systems for larger organizations.

Increased Interviewer Productivity
Interviewer productivity is enhanced with Confirmit 12.5 through new keyboard support for data entry on the CAPI Console. In addition, the CAPI Console is able to display answer precode labels for single and multi-choice questions to simplify the keyboard data entry process.

Other features that assist the interviewer and improve the speed with which they can complete survey assignments include:

A simplified ability to recover partial respondent data that has been reassigned.

The ability to remove interview data from the CAPI Console, thus reducing the amount of data stored on the device.

A configurable Console toolbar height which supports smaller screen devices.

Support for dynamic pages, enabling different questions to appear on the same page as the respondent provides answers to the survey.

Increased Organizational Productivity
Productivity at the organizational level is also enhanced with Confirmit 12.5, as supervisors have the ability to mass load respondent assignments from a Tab-Delimited text file. This is particularly beneficial to organizations employing large field forces, where a large number of respondent assignments may need to be made regularly.

This mass loading ability also simplifies the integration of Confirmit with sample management systems to further streamline the respondent assignment process.

This improved productivity can be measured and reported on effectively across the organization, using Confirmit 12.5’s built-in interviewer productivity statistics reporting function. As a result, business processes can be streamlined since productivity data can be integrated with other business systems, such as payroll.

Improved Security
Security in Confirmit 12.5 is enhanced as all CAPI user passwords are encrypted, using a random value generator. New users will have encrypted passwords assigned when the user account is created.
